Emily Carifa
Knowledge Manager
Emily oversees all research operations within the firm, specializing in C-Suite and Board of Directors searches. Her extensive executive search expertise spans diverse sectors, including financial services, industrial, technology, and consumer products. Emily began her career in New York with the London-based executive search firm Norman Broadbent, later joining Heidrick & Struggles International as a Research Associate. She rapidly advanced to the role of Knowledge Manager and Researcher, collaborating with Gayle Mattson to establish one of the industry’s premier Board and CEO practices. Subsequently, Emily relocated to London to deepen her focus on Financial Services with Heidrick & Struggles. She was later recruited to support two former Heidrick partners in founding a new executive search venture. Later, Emily joined Korn Ferry as European Knowledge Manager, a newly created role in which she successfully organized and led research initiatives across Europe. Emily excels at organizational skills, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks, streamline processes, and meet deadlines efficiently. Her expertise in managing complex projects has consistently resulted in successful outcomes and improved productivity. Throughout her career, Emily has played an instrumental role in assisting many of the world’s leading organizations in building out their leadership teams, including CEO, C-Suite, and Board of Directors appointments. She has also successfully led Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer searches for Fortune 100 companies. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and Italian from Kenyon College and is a graduate of The Taft School in Watertown, Connecticut. She resides in New Jersey with her husband and their three children.
